Muere Leon Russell, una de las grandes leyendas del rock & roll

El cantante murió el pasado 12 de noviembre en Nashville, a los 74 años mientras se recuperaba de una operación de corazón realizada el pasado mes de julio.

Leon Russell, un músico legendario por su labor como escudero de una gran parte de figuras del rock & roll como The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Aretha Franklin, Joe Cocker, George Harrison y Elton John, entre otros muchos. Apareció en la portada del disco «The Union» de Elton John, lo que le hizo más conocido en 2010.

Este compositor, guitarrista, pianista y cantante, es autor de populares canciones cantadas por otros cantantes como la conocida «Superstar» (The Carpenters), «Delta lady» (Joe Cocker), «This Mascarade» (George Benson) o «A Song for You» (Ray Charles, Simply Red).
